Event Details

The Nerdery is looking for (more than) a few good nerds

You're invited to an open house geared at recruiting interactive talent to be hosted Friday, November 13 at Nerdery Interactive Labs (The Nerdery). Career-minded web developers will have the opportunity to meet complete nerds in their natural habitat – at The Nerdery.

Guests will have open access to most of The Nerdery’s staff of 85, including the leadership team, software development managers, and developers of all disciplines. On the heels of company-record-setting sales numbers for two consecutive months and strong pipeline of interactive work, The Nerdery plans to hire up to ten web developers before the end of 2009, and continue to add another 30 in 2010.

“Our developers have told me time and again that they’ve learned more in a matter of months at The Nerdery than at any time or place in their career,” said Tom O'Neill, vice president of software development. “Our nerds quickly build impressive portfolios of visible work for household brands while working with top creative agencies.”

Developers who leave their resume for Nerdery consideration will be entered in a drawing to win an iPod Touch. Learn about working/playing at The Nerdery: http://www.nerdery.com/jobs

The Nerdery

Web development firm The Nerdery specializes in executing interactive projects, including websites, social-media and mobile apps. Based on staff surveys of nearly 300 web pros who blur the line between work and play, The Nerdery ranked #1 on Mpls-St. Paul Business Journal's 2010 and 2011 Best Places to Work list. A popularity contest? You bet. We’re also #4 on Minneapolis Star Tribune’s 2010 Top Workplace list. Now with an office in Chicago, The Nerdery was founded by three programmers in 2003. The Nerdery has made the Inc 5000 and Biz Journal’s Fast 50 list of fast-growing privately owned companies for the past four years. The Nerdery was honored in 2010 with The Quality of Life Award and The Jefferson Award for corporate philanthropy/nerdy-deeds-done-dirt-cheap through our Nerdery Overnight Website Challenge, at which volunteers have donated about $2 million worth of web development services to 66 nonprofits.
